The Colony Stud farm is a great day out for all ages. Come and see the horses and yearlings, rare Large Black Pigs, Red Poll Cattle and Suffolk Sheep. There is also a wagon, dray and parade vehicle display in the Wagon and Implement Barn. The circular walks round the farm enable you to see all the horses and livestock.
The Visitor Centre, which is fully disabled friendly, contains a Heritage Museum, gift shop, and the Suffolk Punch Café, which provides light lunches and fantastic cream teas. Just outside for young children is a challenging activity playground.
Beside the Visitor Centre, the new Heritage Garden is stocked with horticultural varieties of plants and shrubs developed in Suffolk .
The Suffolk Punch Trust is an organisation dedicated to the preservation of Suffolk’s unique history. Hollesley's Bay Colony Stud farm, the world’s oldest stud farm breeding the extremely rare Suffolk Horse, is operated by the Trust, which safeguards the future of this unique animal. The Suffolk Punch shaped the landscape of Suffolk and played a crucial role in the development of farming throughout the British colonies.
