"A very comfortable and convenient place to stay and very near to Snape for the Aldeburgh Festival!"
"Congratulations on providing such great accommodation. Beautifully decorated and appointed. Love the location for both walking and driving access to so many places. I think we will be back!!"
"It's a fine, well-equipped new property in a quiet area, near the forest. For nature lovers and walkers there is plenty to do in the immediate area."
"We had a lovely week in Scapa Lodge. It had everything we wanted, including very friendly owners! It's very quiet and we loved the birds in the garden. We walked in Snape, Orford, Minsmere and the forest. We are looking forward to returning in Spring!"
"The property was spotlessly clean and freshly decorated. The furnishings, fittings and fixtures were of a high quality. The inclusion of reading material and a DVD library was appreciated. In particular, the owners were extremely welcoming and very helpful during our stay."
"Scapa Lodge is conveniently located being only 5 or 6 miles from the coast but situated in peaceful countryside surroundings. The lodge itself is very comfortable, spotlessly clean, modern and cosy. Listening to bird song from dawn to dusk is magical. The hosts are very welcoming and approachable but respect your privacy. We would not hesitate to book this holiday accommodation again."
"The property had a bright and cheerful seaside them for its decoration and fittings. I never expected the to have virtually exclusive use of the large and private garden. Lucky with the weather. The resident owners very friendly and helpul. Intend to return"
"Cosy cottage for two ,quiet location and very convenient for this part of the Suffolk coast. Kitchen has everything you need, if you want to cook, but plenty of good pubs and eating places around the area ,not to mention the availability of fresh fish. Good bakery at Snape a few minutes drive away. Good base for walking and wildlife spotting as well as access to beaches."
"We found Scapa Lodge comfortable, cozy, spotlessly clean, quiet and conveniently located for visiting the coast and countryside being right on the edge of the Tunstall forest. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. We would stay again."
"We had a wonderful break here at the Lodge. Everything was just perfect for us, very well equipped and quiet and plenty of wildlife from the front door. We will be back."
"We are biased because we have been blessed with the most incredibly good weather. The only downside was the insects making a meal of us whilst we sat on the lawn reading. A variety of birds kept us company, this is the place to unwind . "
"Thank you Deborah & Craig. We have had such a great time, lovely lodge in great surroundings. So fantastic to hear the birdsong. Suzies cafe on front at Southwold was very good - a great sun trap. Harbour Inn good for seafood especially the Fish Pie. Loved the Galleries in Southwold - do visit Southwold & Blythburgh Churches for the magnificent Angel ceilings."
"We have had lovely weather until today and some of the views and vistas have been simply wonderful in the sunshine. Thank you for a really comfortable and relaxing week . Our canary was also very happy! Beautifully quiet and peaceful."
"What a pleasant surprise Scapa Lodge turned out to be, cosy, comfy, bright and peaceful. Surrounded by birdsong and beautiful countryside and only a few miles to the coast and very pretty villages and other places of interest to visit. We have seen boxing Hares, Deer, Bats, Marsh Harrier, various songbirds and glimpsed an Owl, oh and two minor celebrities whilst we have been out and about! We've had a great time."
"The Lodge, beautifully designed and in a lovely area. Have enjoyed our stay and will return. We were made very welcome by our host and the lodge is a credit to them."
"We have loved our stay here, so clean, comfortable and quiet. Location was perfect for everything that we wanted to see. Thank you for the goodies on arrival. We would have no hesitation in recommending 'Scapa Lodge' tour family and friends."
"Great small property off the beaten track but not too far from large parts of Suffolk."
"Thanks to Craig and Debbie for the warm welcome. Suffolk was a lovely surprise especially Sutton Hoo, Orford Castle and Woodbridge. We usually walk for most days on holiday but the weather was too hot this time would love to return and do some walks on the beautiful coast."
"Very clean and pleasant property. Had everything we needed and allowed us to relax."
"I used Scapa Lodge as a base for cycling, for which it is ideal. There is a place to securely store your bike, and it is perfectly placed to explore all the delightful quite lanes and tracks that will take you up and down the coast or off into the equally good cycling inland. National cycle route 41 runs close by, and numbers 40 and 42 are not far off, (although bear in mind that Butley Ferry one the cycle route from Orford towards Felixstowe, only runs at weekends in the summer), although worth popping down anyway because it's a nice bit of route. Lots of local interest, Orford Ness, Snape Maltings, Aldborough etc, but in the end peaceful and beautiful quite lanes, with pretty historical villages are the main attraction. Craig and Debbie friendly and helpful if you need any advice."
"Our hosts, Debbie and Craig Priest were very welcoming, friendly and great to talk to. Scapa Lodge was a lovely place to stay. We were very lucky with the weather as well! The lodge was very comfortable and overlooked a huge garden. Terrific!"
"Amazing location, very well presented. We brought our 2 year old along, and it was perfect, lots of walking and enjoying the scenery. We will be sure to come back again. "
"We has a wonderful stay, very cosy and well equipped and the perfect location. We loved seeing all the birds especially. Thank you for being excellent hosts. "
"Lovely well equipped cottage in a super setting. Jess & Craig are friendly welcoming hosts. Lots of interesting places to visit close to the property. Peace and quiet if the area made for a very relaxing break, thank you."
